i laid her close to my chest as she looked up at me.

she looked into my eye taking her last look at me

i told her to go to sleep without knowing what she was doing

and i fell asleep with her in my arms

a cold shiver went through my body as i felt her softness aganst me

she opened her eyes and took her last breath and laid lifeless

motionless, with her eyes open.

open filled with sadness of wanting to see the last person she loved 

i panicked and left her lifeless body alone for her to leave a lonely path

i cried and cried with regrets and anguish. my heart aches as i see her clothes laying around

never imagined this day would come after 12 years

never thought it would ache this much
